1. CUT DOWN AMOUNT OF SALT

This is perhaps the most efficient way to lose those extra pounds! Salts hold large amount of unnecessary water in our cells. Also cutting salt in diet has a good effect on our cardiovascular health.

So how much salt is to be excluded from our food?

The best answer to this is as minimum is your intake as better it is. Start by using less salt each day and take this to half of your previous day by one month. At first you will find your food tasteless but after one month you will be habituated.

2. INTAKE LESS CARBS

Well this may sound weird but intaking carbs hinders your fat loss goal more than fats do.
If you are in a mood of weight loss I have assumed that you must be avoiding fat by default. But this doesn't help if u keep putting so called healthy brown rice and bread as much u like.

So the point to be noticed here is you need to intake less calories daily than you burn it. So a bulk of carbs will just maintain your needed calories to maintain your current weight!

What to do then?

Cut carbs as well. You are probably overweight because of both - carbs and fats. So, have a diet full of salads and fruit and avoid carbs as much as you can. You can have a carb rich diet in the breakfast and never after that. You can have protein rich diet at lunch and dinner.

How will it help?

Cutting carbs will cut your calorie intake and thus you will burn more calories than you take.
This will eventually use your stored fat for energy purposes. Also cutting carbs will put you in a ketogenic condition. In this condition our body begins to burn fat stored for energy as we do not consume enough carbs.

Yes, avoid these. It's okay if you like it plain but if u have developed a taste of cream and sugar in tea/coffee than it should be avoided.

4. BE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE


As my article is about losing weight without any intensional physical activity, you must be thinking yeah, I finally came to the truth. No, I am still not suggesting you to run or go to gym. I am simply asking you to be more active by avoiding your laziness that comes to you through technological advancements.

For example, you can use stairs if your office/home is on almost third floor. You can take a walk to bus stop or metro if it's at a walkable distance. You can roam inside your home while talking on phone instead of sitting idle on sofa. And of course if you have leisure time utilize it by seeing your neighborhood and the good old park provided to you by your government, maintained by your tax payed money.

5. AVOID WINE AND BEER


Wine are must for your hard earned weekend I do understand this. But the hangover comes at a price. Well, the bottles don't have a nutritional label on it stating the calories but I does have a good amount of calories. All the hard work you have put to bring your weight down goes in vain if you can't control yourself.

Alcoholic beverages are usually consumed with salty peanuts and other stuffs of good calories. You will avoid them as well if you avoid alcohol. You will save money as well.
